Donor-Funded Scholarships for Undergraduates at George Fox
Traditional undergraduate students at George Fox are encouraged to apply for donor-funded scholarships. Returning students and incoming freshmen have separate deadlines (see below).

There are more than 200 donor-funded scholarships available, ranging from $500 to $25,000! Examples of criteria include, but are not limited to, background, academic major, financial need, career goals, and grade level. Once on the donor-funded page, you’ll find detailed descriptions of scholarships and the requirements for each. Plus, new this year, we are offering three $1,000 scholarships to returning student applicants who do not qualify for any other donor-funded scholarships. If you do not meet the criteria for any of the other scholarships, you will be automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of these!

Section 1 - Major and Career Interests
Option 1: Is there a personal experience, individual, or event that influenced your decision to pursue this major? Explain how this connection has shaped your academic and professional goals.
Option 2: When thinking about your future career, what excites you the most, and what challenges do you think you’ll face? How can George Fox prepare you to face those challenges?
Section 2 - Personal Beliefs and Values
Option 1: What does it mean to you to live out your faith, and how do you hope your faith will shape the way you engage your community and the world?
Option 2: How do your core values inform your choice of major, and how do you envision integrating your values into your professional life to serve your community?
Option 3: Share a Bible verse that has personal meaning to you. Why is this verse meaningful, and how has it influenced your faith, perspective, or the way you live?
Section 3 - What Makes You You
Option 1: If you could bottle up one moment from your life and keep it forever, what moment would you choose? Tell us the story—and why it means so much to you.
Option 2: If you could describe yourself as a book, what would the title be and why? What are the key chapters of your story that have shaped who you are today, and how will these experiences influence your future goals?
Section 4 - Driving Factors
Option 1: Tell us about your current financial circumstances and any significant or unexpected challenges that make paying for your education especially difficult.
Option 2: How have you experienced George Fox’s Be Known Promise? Tell us about a person, experience, or moment when you felt truly known, valued, or cared for.
Option 3: Everyone faces challenges in life. Share an obstacle you’ve experienced—big or small—and explain how it has impacted you, shaped your perspective, or influenced your path.

You must be a traditional undergraduate student intending to be enrolled full-time for the academic year in which you are applying. Returning students and incoming freshmen are all eligible.
Incoming Freshmen: You must be admitted and submit your enrollment deposit by May 1 to be considered.

Make sure to submit your application early, as some scholarships have additional requirements which you will not see until after you submit your primary application.
Yes! The application is open early November through early March for returning students. That means you will have approximately four months to complete the application requirements. Incoming freshman will be able to apply May 1-June 1.
The application doesn't have to be completed all at once. Answers are automatically saved as you complete them, and you can return to the application at any time to work on the rest!

Yes! You should continue to apply each year. New scholarships are added each year and many are based on grade level, so there may be new opportunities available to you. Plus, new this year, we are offering three $1,000 scholarships to returning student applicants who do not qualify for any other donor-funded scholarships. If you do not meet the criteria for any of the other scholarships, you will be automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of these!
