Cara Crawford

Cara Crawford, OTD, OTR/L, serves as an assistant professor of occupational therapy. An OT since 2021, she joined the unviersity full time in 2026 after working at PT Northwest in Woodburn, Oregon, where she provided outpatient occupational therapy services specializing in hand-related injuries and diagnoses.

Previously, she served as an occupational therapist with the Willamette Education Service District in Salem, consulting with K–12 students and educators in the Central School District from 2021 to 2023. She also worked as an occupational therapist at Creating Pathways Pediatric Therapy, where she provided services in a fast-paced outpatient pediatric setting.

Crawford earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Moravian University in 2021 and completed her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at Moravian University in 2025. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in allied health from Otterbein University, earned in 2017.

She lives in Salem with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Dutch and Juniper. She attends Church of God AIC, where her father has been a pastor for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading research articles (yes for fun), podcasting, spending time outdoors with her family, and caring for her Australian Shepherd, Meeko.
