A Christ-Centered Community

Christ is at the center of everything we do, both inside and outside the classroom. This influences the way we teach every subject and is the reason we offer many opportunities for service and spiritual growth. At the center of our community is the belief that we are all gifted and called to serve those in need.

Located near campus, the North Valley Friends Church Peace Path offers students a place for prayer, scripture reading and contemplation.

At George Fox, transformation is part of your education. Together, in community, you will encounter so many opportunities to serve, grow in your faith and discover your calling, whether it's community worship in chapel, Shalom on Tuesdays, small group Bible studies or service opportunities like James Project. You will connect with professors and peers who care deeply about your spiritual journey and developement as a whole person. And as your relationship with God grows, so too will your desire to engage the world and share his love.

Chris Low has been the photographer in the Office of Marketing Communications since April 2018. As husband to a nurse and dad to a 7-year-old redhead, he likes to build with LEGOs, get tattooed, and drink tons of coffee. Sometimes, when in better shape, he likes to run long distance races in the forest.

The year 2020 will forever be remembered for the novel coronavirus that ravaged the world. The details are still a bit unknown, but it is believed that Washington state had the U.S.鈥檚 first case on Jan. 20. About five weeks later, Oregon reported its first case, and soon after Gov. Kate Brown announced that schools would close starting Monday, March 16. That was followed by a stay-at-home order on March 23. Students at George Fox went on spring break March 20-27 and were asked not to return to campus for the remainder of the semester.
